General Information

My email address is:

[email protected]

Take-Home/Communication Folders:

Folders will be the home-school routing system and will need to be seen daily. Notes, newsletters, letters from the teacher, homework, special projects, and other announcements will be sent throughout the week in the folder. Folders will be taken to and from school daily for you and your child to look through.

Conference Period:

I am available to discuss your child from 12:35-1:35 daily. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I will do my best to return your call or answer your notes as promptly as possible. Often I do not have a chance to check my e-mail until after the students have left for the day. If you need to contact me immediately, please call the office.

Homework:

Your child will come home with a newsletter and homework for the month. Homework is due at the end of the month unless otherwise noted. Homework should take no longer than 20 minutes a night. If it is taking your child longer to complete assignments, please let me know.

Monday Mail:

Your child will bring home school wide information (PTO, notes, letters from office, flyers, etc.) on Mondays.

Please empty and return the folders on Tuesday. You can sign up for the Woodridge E-Blast on the Woodridge Home page and receive Monday Mail electronically.

Library:

We go to the library every other week. Students are allowed to check out 2 books at a time. We try to encourage the students to choose one book on their independent reading level as well as one book that they are interested in reading. Please encourage your child to read every night!

Reminders:

Please send in a healthy snack daily for your child. Please do not send in any nuts or nut products for snack.

Please send in a labeled water bottle daily.  They will be sent home at the end of the day to be cleaned.

For birthdays, parents are welcome to send in a treat that is easy to pass out like cupcakes, cookies or doughnuts. The birthday treat will be passed out after lunch. This will not be a party.

Also if you want to send in invitations for birthday parties outside of school, that is fine as long as they are for the whole class or all the boys/all the girls. Invitations to students in other classes will need to be mailed out.
